I'm looking forward to the Inman Real Estate Connect NYC Conference in New York next month. The conference is hotel is located next door to a building in Times Square where I worked as managing editor of a health care magazine 29 years ago. Times Square was different then, and peep shows, porn shops, and prostitution were the major service providers.
I used to send copy to a typesetter in Connecticut via a daily runner, and review galleys the next day that arrived via the same runner, who was driving an automobile. Internet? I never imagined that 2007 would offer such an array of tech advances in the publishing field. I'm looking forward to meeting the bloggers at the conference, of course. I hope that The Property Grunt makes an appearance, and The LoftNinja my favorite artvertising pioneer. Maybe we can blog about the conference together.
I understand that a blogger who goes simply by "Craig" will be there. I understand he's a nice guy from New Jersey who's doing some interesting things online. Today I saw an article comparing him to Lee Harvey Oswald as "a lone nut."
I'm a Jersey girl, myself, doncha know? Don't let the temporary Pencey address fool you. You can take the girl out of Jersey, but you can't take Jersey out of the girl.
