Operation Clean Sweep Commences

The pool at the YMCA has been closed for maintenance all week, I'm not getting the exercise I need, and I'm spending far too much time online. But I found a great tool on Joeann Fossland's web site, a 100 item program, that  promises energy, vitality and a foundation you want! Sounds good to me! I'm starting today. It won't be easy, take a closer look here.

Contemplative Moment Online

Do your struggle with time management problems? I do. It's important to put things into perspective. Every now and then our web surfing takes us to a special site. This is one of them.

Inspiration From A REALTOR/Blogger/Starfish

Karen Hoyt-Mason is a fellow member of the Real Estate Blog Squad who offers a compelling online chronicle of her battle with breast cancer. She's still posting about the bubble and other real estate matters, but this recent post shows a measure of humanity that simply annuls all the negative energy of the day. Read it and let that negative energy find another home!

Fat Lady Joins MoveOn Peace Vigil
In Bethlehem Supporting Cindy Sheehan

A tiny park in Southside Bethlehem, PA, was the site of a Peace Vigil last night that supported the efforts of Cindy Sheehan, a mother whose son lost his life in Iraq. Cindy is in Crawford, Texas, and she wants to speak with President Bush about the war. So far he has refused. It doesn't seem to work for his political agenda. There is a slide show here with more images of the event in Bethlehem. The Bethlehem event was organized by Diane Petro.

10 Delicious Daily Habits Game

Practice week is over. Joeann Fossland's game starts in earnest today. Here's my list:

1. Prepare a meal or cook SOMETHING.
You may think this is easy, but sometimes a whole week can pass without using the oven or range.
2. Eliminate 1 problem.
I've accomplished this task five times already today.
3. Drink 120 oz. of water.
It's only 3 PM and this one is done. I am VERY hydrated.
4. Swim or exercise 1 hour.
I had my Hydro class first thing this morning. Great way to start a day!
5. Talk to Jens and/or Andreas.
I had lunch with Jens today. He was in town from State College. Talk about a good day!
6. Write or blog for at least 60 minutes.
This post counts toward that goal.
7. Listen to a real estate interview online.
I listened to an Allan Dalton (REALTOR.com) interview on Broker Agent News Online.
8. Read a book at least 1/2 hour.
I'm still reading Ellen Gustafson's Silver Wheel. I'm not linking because her publisher is not coming through with royalty payments and there are lots of people selling this book online. I'll do a link at a later date. (Update: Heck, Ellen just posted a comment with the link, so here it is. Ellen and I have been best friends since early days in grade school.)
9. Speak personally with a Real Estate Blog Squad member.
Great folks! I'll be speaking with Jane Bustad later today.
10. Write or edit real estate book 1 hour.
I'm in the final edit phase of a real estate how-to book that will be available very soon.

Real Estate Blog Review

My other blog, TheREALTYgram Blogger, got a nice review in Small Business Trends. The review says that the blog is "very informative and educational, covering a tremendous range of topics. Content is king."

Visualization Tip Works In Pool
When I'm Pushing It To The Limit

I picked up a good  visualization tip that comes in handy in the pool during my aerobics classes. When I seem to be at my limit with exercise and a little voice from some corner of my mind says, "Enough, already, Fat Lady," I close my eyes and I see Jens and Becca in their wedding finery, dancing their first dance less than a year from now. In no time at all the adrenaline kicks in, the voice disappears, the  muscles gain new strength, and I'm burning more calories than ever! Thanks to career coach Gailann Bruen for the idea.

10 Delicious Daily Habits
From Coach Joeann Fossland

Here's a neat little tool from popular real estate coach Joeann Fossland. It's the 10 Delicious Daily Habits Tracker. Joeann is using it as she starts a program to lose 20 pounds by October 1:

"I've pulled out my coaching tool, The Ten Delicious Daily Habits and have written up 10 for the next 30 Days. Some of  the habits I will be doing daily are meditating for 100 breaths, eating according to the plan, drinking 120 ounces of water, reading, writing and gardening (and cuddling with Bub)."

Good luck, Joeann! We're looking forward to seeing that new blog soon.

Today is National Cell-A-Thon Day;
Support Stem Cell Research

John Mudd, REALTORĀ®/Blogger has appealed to fellow real estate bloggers to gather support for National Cell-A-Thon Day:

"As a lifelong, insulin-dependent diabetic, I am asking you to call President Bush tomorrow, Tuesday, August 9th, at 202-456-1414, to ask him to sign H.R. 810 into law. The bill will cause embryonic stem cells to be used in various cure research, from cancer to diabetes to Parkinson's to Alzheimer's. Vetoing the bill will cause the same embryonic stem cells to be thrown in the garbage. We can save lives, or we can throw them away. Thank you in advance for any help or support you lend in the effort to get H.R. 810 signed into law."
